Daughter unveil stunning live video for ‘All I Wanted’

Daughter have unveiled a striking new live video for their track ‘All I Wanted‘.

The new visuals see the group’s vocalist and lyricist, Elena Tonra, backed by a string quartet and all-female vocal quartet in a beautifully lit setting. The Simon Lane-directed clip was captured in one seamless take in Peckham’s Asylum Chapel with arrangements composed specially by Josephine Stephenson. Watch the magic unfold below.

The original version of ‘All I Wanted‘ appeared on Daughter’s soundtrack to the videogame Life Is Strange: Before The Storm.

Speaking about the new rendition, Tonra explains: “Josephine’s arrangement is stunning, it tells the story of the original song in a way that I couldn’t have ever put into words. When she sent me the first demo of her arrangement I was so emotional listening to it. It’s wonderful hearing one of your own songs reimagined in such a perfect way. It was also a treat to work with Simon Lane. It was shot live in one take, which I think really heightens the drama in it.

Music From Before The Storm will be given an official vinyl release as part of Record Store Day on 21st April 2018
