Everything you need to know about Arcade Fire’s upcoming album, tour, and new single

Arcade Fire played a surprise gig in Barcelona, announced their upcoming tour and new album, and debuted their new single.

The band has been dropping hints about new music in mysterious ways over the last few days including a live stream from Death Valley and trailers and updates coming from Russian spambots. However, the band has now announced their new album and single, along with their upcoming tour.

Their album, Everything Now, is due for release on 28th July and is available for preorder. So far, only the name of the album, the artwork, and the first single ‘Everything Now‘ have been revealed. The names of the other 12 tracks have not been revealed.

To accompany the album, the band will be embarking on their Infinite Content tour which will see the band visiting the UK, Europe, and North America. Support on the North American leg of the tour will come from Wolf ParadePreservation Hall Jazz BandPhantogramAngel OlsenBroken Social Scene, and Grandmaster Flash.

Arcade Fire are due to play Primavera Music Festival tomorrow night but made a surprise appearance at the festival on Thursday. The hour-long set took place on a makeshift stage which was branded with ‘EN‘ symbols whilst the band donned their EN bomber jackets. The EN markings were used to signify their new album, Everything Now. The band played new songs including ‘Everything Now‘ and ‘Creature Comfort‘. Making a tribute to the late David Bowie, frontman Win Butler said during the set: “I miss David Bowie so much. Wherever you are, God bless.” Check out some of the footage below.
