Francis and The Lights announces new music video with Chance The Rapper

Francis and The Lights has revealed a new music video featuring Chance The Rapper that will drop next week.

The video for ‘May I Have This Dance‘ is set for release on Thursday at midnight (19th May PST) and will include a guest appearance from Chance The Rapper. The song originally featured on Francis’ 2016 album Farwell, Starlite! and was produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat.

Last year, in addition to touring with Chance on the Magnificent Coloring Book World tour, Francis’ video for ‘Friends‘ featuring Bon Iver and Kanye West, was credited in Pitchfork’s Best Music Video of 2016. According to a press release, the new video for ‘May I Have This Dance‘ is the “official sequel to the ‘Friends‘ video. The ‘May I Have This Dance‘ visuals will be directed by Jake Schreier, who also directed the iconic ‘Friends‘ video last year.

It has been said that the new video will answer questions such as “What is it like to watch a man dance his heart out, from very far away?” and “Is there such thing as redemption through dancing?
