JME will star as himself in the Simon Amstell directed film about a vegan utopia

Today it was announced that the grime scene veteran JME will star in the feature length film, Carnage: Swallowing The Past.

The Simon Amstell directed film will delve into an ideological vegan utopia set 50 years in the future where everyone has a plant based diet.

Narrated by Amstell himself, the film “looks back at a time when human beings ate other animals. In the future, this will be considered an unimaginable bloodbath of unnecessary suffering,”.

JME, the well-known passionate vegan, will play himself in the film along side a cast that includes; Martin Freeman, Joanna Lumley, Lindsay Duncan and Dame Eileen Atkins. Carnage: Swallowing The Past will also play host to cameo appearances from Kirsty Wark, Vannessa Feltz, and of course, Lorraine Kelly.

Vegan and proud Simon Amstell commented on the upcoming project saying, “I have written and directed a film about veganism. I’m sorry.

Carnage: Swallowing The Past, the film that will look back at humans carnivorous and barbaric nature, will air on BBC iPlayer this spring.
