Marilyn Manson has reportedly been hospitalised after being injured by a falling stage prop during a New York performance.

The concert which took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom was cut short following the accident. The curtain reportedly dropped immediately and the lights were switched off. The crowd were then told to leave the venue whilst Manson was carried offstage on a stretcher.

Concert attendees have written that the rock singer was trying to climb a prop, a pair of giant pistols, before they gave way and fell on top of him.

Speaking to Variety, a representative for Manson has confirmed the claims saying that, “Manson suffered an injury towards the end of an incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital.”

Although Manson’s condition is currently unknown it has been announced that the singer will cancel nine shows between 2nd October in Boston and 14th October in Houston. In a statement, a representative for the shock rock artist has confirmed that he intends to reschedule the dates following his recovery.
