METZ release animated video for ‘Mr. Plague’

Canadian rockers METZ released their third album Strange Peace last year, but the ringing in our ears hasn’t quite died out yet. The band aren’t ready to relent yet either, as they’ve today released a brand new animated video for the scorching ‘Mr. Plague‘ from the album.

If you thought that putting cartoons on top of METZ’s trademark walls of noise might make it a little cuter – think again. The video for ‘Mr. Plague‘ was created by Shayne Ehman, and we’re told that it discusses “…the crumbling remnants of civilisation…a broken justice system…a consumer wasteland… Was it all part of the plan?

That’s more or less saying that the video is filled with many weird images and sly commentary. Check it out below.

METZ will be playing all over the world through the summer and beyond. They’ll be stopping in the UK for slots at Reading and Leeds, and playing some gigs in other cities while they’re here. Get those dates on their website.
