Preoccupations have announced an album and shared a new song

Preoccupations, the Calgary post-punk band, have announced a new album and shared the lead single, ‘Espionage‘.

It’s an ode to depression,” Matt Flegel explains of the album’s focus. “To depression and self-sabotage, and looking inward at yourself with extreme hatred.” The new cut, ‘Espionage‘, is a gritty offering which arrived equipped with some trippy geometric visuals. The new album, New Material, will be made available on 23rd March via Flemish Eye in Canada (and Jagjaguwar in the rest of the world). New Material, which was mixed by Justin Meldal-Johnson (M83, Wolf Alice), is the follow-up to the group’s 2016 Preoccupations. Check out the tracklist below.
