Ringo and Macca reunite once more

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have reunited in the studio for the first time in nearly a decade.

The two surviving Beatles collaborated over the weekend on Starr’s forthcoming new record, the follow-up to 2015’s Postcards From Paradise. Posting a photo of them together on Twitter, Starr wrote: “Thanks for coming over man and playing great bass. I love you man – peace and love.

The last occasion the pair collaborated on new music was in 2010, with McCartney contributing bass and vocal to Starr’s tracks ‘Peace Dream’ and ‘Walk With You’.

Also performing on the new record is Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh – with Starr Tweeting: “And look out Joe W came out to play. What a day I’m having. Peace and love.

A Los Angeles tour group was reportedly in front of Ringo’s home when McCartney turned up in a blue Corvette. The guide apparently joked “And here’s Ringo now!“, not knowing that there actually was a Beatle in the car about to push the buzzer.
