Snoop Dogg assassinates Donald Trump in new video

In the video Snoop Dog shoots Donald Trump with a toy gun.

The rapper teamed up with BadBadNotGood to release a remix of their track ‘Lavender‘. The video depicts Snoop shooting a lookalike of the President at close range. A gunshot can be heard but a flag appears out of the end of the gun with the word ‘BANG‘ on it.

The video went viral quickly with over a million views in its first hour. It has since caught the attention of Washington, with Trump responding via Twitter. In the tweet he insinuates that if the rapper had a video of him shooting at Barack Obama at the time of his presidency he would have faced jail time.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio has also criticised the rapper. Speaking about the video he said: “If the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you could have a real problem.” He continued: “Snoop shouldn’t have done that. We’ve had presidents assassinated before… so anything like that is something people should be really careful about.

Trump‘s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, weighed in saying the Californian rapper owed the President an apology “It’s totally disgraceful. Snoop owes the president an apology,” Cohen added: “There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president, and I’m really shocked at him, because I thought he was better than that.

The mock assassination can be watched in the video above at the three minute mark.
