Tame Impala release aptly named ‘Patience’, their first song in four years

After four long years of radio silence on the release front from Tame Impala, the Aussie rockers have finally returned with the aptly named single, ‘Patience’.

Released late last night, the new track is deliciously drum-heavy, dripping with influences from 90s’ house and 70’s disco. Check it out below.

Fans received just an hours notice before the track was dropped, the band writing on Instagram: “New track. 1 hour. Speakers/headphones ready people”.

Tame Impala spent much of 2018 teasing that they were working on a new album, hinting that the LP would be set to drop this summer.

Last year, Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker and Theophilus London teamed up to release two new tracks: ‘Whiplash’ and a cover of Steve Monite’s 1984 hit ‘Only You’.
