Daniel Johnston and Jeff Tweedy covered the Beatles during the Chicago date of Johnston’s “final tour“.
Johnston was joined by Jeff Tweedy & Friends on Friday night to perform a cover of the Beatles’ 1965 song, ‘You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away‘. The remaining dates of the tour will see Johnston backed by a number of other guests including members of Beirut, Silversun Pickups, Built to Spill, and more. Watch the clip below.
Although the dates on the tour have been helmed as the artist’s final live performances, during an interview with the New York Times Johnston appeared to debunk this. When asked if the forthcoming string of dates would be his final tour he responded: “Why would it be?”
