Polaris Music Prize Gala featured the premiere of a touching new video for Leonard Cohen‘s ‘Leaving the Table‘.
The Polaris Music Prize, a not-for-profit organization that annually honours and rewards artists who produce Canadian music albums of distinction, shared the video last night during their gala. The video shows an animated Cohen dancing across the Montreal skyline and exploring the world before returning to his hometown. Watch the video for ‘Leaving the Table‘ below.
Cohen’s album, You Want It Darker, which features the track ‘Leaving the Table‘, was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize alongside LPs from Feist, BADBADNOTGOOD and more.
Fiest, Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello and others are set to appear in an upcoming tribute concert to the late musician marking the one-year anniversary of his death.
