Watch Lil Wayne’s hilarious Friends theme tune parody

Lil Wayne has starred in a hilarious parody of the Friends theme song to promote the new NFL season on Fox.

The clip sees Weezy looking like he’s about to deliver some heated bars before the iconic television shows theme tune kicks in leaving the rapper looking stunned and confused. Amidst his confusion, nevertheless, he begins to lip sync the NFL themed parody track.

You already brought your loyal fans to tears / ‘Cause it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month / For like 15 years,” he lip syncs over the track.”

Please don’t go 0-2 / Just ’cause you can’t catch a ball.

The football-themed parody marks the second week of the new NFL season. Watch below.

Earlier this year, rapper Jay-Z recreated the Friends opening credit scene with an all-black cast. The reimagining featured Get Out‘s Lil Rel Howery, Atlanta‘s Lakeith Stanfield and Broad City‘s Hannibal Buress. Watch the Alan Yang directed clip below.

The spoof was created for his ‘Moonlight‘ video and left the series co-creator, David Crane, saying: “I don’t have Tidal. I’m just happy that the show is still part of the cultural zeitgeist after all these years.
