Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich was replaced by a little girl at the band’s WorldWired tour Detroit performance last week.
During the bands Comerica Park show last week (12th July), the group pulled a child called Kendalynn out of the crowd and sat her behind Ulrich’s drum kit. Frontman, James Hetfield, engaged the audience in a call-and-response chant whilst the drummer showed the girl what to do.
Kendalynn then played the first few beats of ‘Seek And Destroy‘ before Ulrich jumped back into the seat. Hetfield then asked, “Aw, is that all?” before the girl returned to the audience and the band launched into the song. Watch it all unfold below.

The girl’s mother has since tweeted about the unforgettable moment with a photo proudly stating: “That’s my baby girl on the drums! Thank you for the great memory and an awesome show.”
