Watch The War on Drugs cover Neil Young’s ‘Like A Hurricane’

The War on Drugs paid homage to Neil Young last night by covering his track, ‘Like A Hurricane‘.

The performance took place in Young’s hometown of Toronto, Canada where the band were playing a show at Massey Hall. ‘Like A Hurricane‘ is taken from Neil Young’s eighth studio album, American Stars ‘n Bars, which was released back in 1977. Watch footage of the performance below.

The War on Drugs frontman, Adam Granduciel, recently explained in a GRAMMY.com interview that Young was a major inspiration in experimenting with guitar sounds on their latest release, A Deeper Understanding. A Deeper Understanding marks the band’s fourth studio album and was released back in August this year. Neil Young recently shared his long-lost Hitchhiker album which includes a number of recordings composed in 1976.
