Gus Dapperton

VOGUE-featuring 20-year-old, Gus Dapperton, has been doing the rounds online with his self-described “’80s-influenced and kind of dreamy” take on pop. His dreamily skewed indie-pop provides the perfect vibe for a late night after party or a sunny afternoon in the park.

For fans of: King Krule, Billie Ellish, Nick Murphy

Dark0

London’s Dark0 has secured his name in the underground scene with his string of untouchable grime instrumentals and euphoric trance-trap hybrids. His recently released five-track EP, Xenotype, with Adult Swim brings his synth work to the forefront creating a glitchy tape that could easily soundtrack a futuristic 8-bit racing game.

For fans of: Evian Christ, Yung Lean, Murlo

Dylan Cartlidge

Dylan Cartlidge first grabbed our attention a few months ago with his track ‘Love Spoons‘. His bedroom produced mixture of hip-hop, R&B, indie-funk and neo-soul pushes the boundaries of modern-day pop music, blurring the lines between genres. Continously exciting, Cartlidge proves he’s not afraid to break the mould.

For fans of: OutKast, Thundercat, Kendrick Lamar

Iffy Orbit

This Norwegian five-piece dropped their debut album, Slow Times, just last month premiering the track, ‘Not Good Enough‘, on Music Crowns. A heavenly blend of dreamy synths, melancholy vocals and catchy guitar riffs make Iffy Orbit an incredibly fresh sounding band to jump on from the beginning.

For fans of: Tame Impala, MGMT, The Strokes

Trippie Redd

Although not as underground as many of the others on this list, Trippie Redd is making an imprint deep within the sentimental side of hip-hop. His wailing autotune blended with emotional trap production bridges a well-needed gap between rap and punk. Trippie doesn’t think too much about what his music is supposed to sound like, so neither should you. Just hit play and enjoy the ride.

For fans of: Lil Uzi Vert, LIL PUMP, A$AP Rocky

Aminé

Aminé can usually be found playfully teetering between rapping and singing on his sweet sounding trap beats. Each track on Aminé‘s, Good For You, sounds like a high-school party anthem and it deserves a lot more attention. With some impressive features on his debut mixtape, it’s a dead cert that Aminé is here to stay.

For fans of: Chance The Rapper, Frank Ocean, Vic Mensa

Bay Ledges

Tropical folk-pop duo Bay Ledges seem to be able a lot of fun into their stripped back tracks. Their latest EP, Fountain Tropical, which they released only a few months ago, is packed with their signature vibrant sound. Soulful and glitchy vibes are in unlimited supply from the Los Angeles-based pair.

For fans of: Bibio, Ella Vos, Mac DeMarco

Zack Villere

Hailing from Covington, L.A., Zack Villere is the singer-songwriter and producer formerly known as Froyo Ma. The 22-year-old artist has since shifted his focus onto the Zack Villere project, using more vocals in his tongue-in-cheek teenage anthems like ‘Cool‘. The video for ‘Cool‘ sees the singer preaching about his credibility over a future-funk hip-hop beat.

For fans of: Mac DeMarco, Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean

snny

Snny‘s Learning To Swim EP will keep your playlist steadily above water this winter. Packed with smooth vocals, forward-thinking hip-hop beats and soundscapes that will trick your mind into feeling like it’s watching a movie, snny is undoubtedly on his way to greatness.

For fans of: Roy Woods, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jeremih

Bane’s World

This self-titled “21 yr old geeky weirdo“, real name Shane Blanchard, uses his ghostly vocals and maxed-out reverbs to create stunning atmospheric soundscapes. Enchanting melodies and minimal percussion only add to his woozy sound, creating something that’s easy to get lost in – and you won’t even want to find the exit.

For fans of: Mac DeMarco, Ariel Pink, Bibio

Jon Vinyl

The mysterious Toronto-native, Jon Vinyl, dropped his debut single, ‘Nostalgia‘, last week. A mixture of clunky detuned piano chords and skittering percussion paints the perfect backdrop for his silky vocals glide effortlessly across. Remember those goosebumps when you first heard Frank Ocean? Well, they’re back.

For fans of: Frank Ocean, Kaytranada, Toro Y Moi

Black Flowers Cafe

Fernando Rennis, Gaetano Lidonnici, Antonio Nicoletti and Angelo Zicca make up the Italian four-piece better known as Black Flowers Cafe. With a pulsing energy cloaked delicately in luscious reverb, Black Flowers Cafe create a sound that’s both euphoric and danceable.

For fans of: Minus The Bear, Circa Survive, Portugal. The Man

Boy Pablo

The video for Boy Pablo‘s ‘Everytime’ is cheesy as hell, and we absolutely love it. Boy Pablo was created by Norwegian Pablo Muñoz back in 2016 and he has since enlisted his friends, and cousin to come along for the ride. The track is a happy yet melancholic love song that’s incredibly addictive after the first listen.
