Dose tops off an explosive three-track run with latest single ‘Epiphany’

Hailing from Birmingham, rising rap artist Dose fuses lyrical dexterity with a unique musical vision that’s caught the ear of prominent outlets, including Mixtape Madness. His latest release, “Epiphany”, is the third in a series of incendiary singles that have established the MC as one of Britain’s most hyped new rappers.

Released on November 15th, Dose’s “Epiphany” was premiered by Mixtape Madness, racking up tens of thousands of listens within a week of release and gaining exposure to over a million subscribers. Dose lays down venomous bars over a dark and weighty instrumental produced by KP Beats, speaking about personal struggles in lyrics that speak to wisdom beyond his years: “having battles with your demons / I still can’t be showing any weakness / do you know the feeling?”

Accompanied by a shadowy video produced in a classic UK rap style, the track is the pinnacle of a three-part run that began in August this year. “Epiphany” follows hot on the heels of “Dead Faces”, a single released in October and premiered on Mixtape Madness. Coming in hot with a high-energy vibe over an off-kilter beat produced by A Class, Dose sums up his swiftly growing popularity in the track’s lyrical content: “they heard an ill flow and they all need a dosage”.

Prior to the release of “Epiphany” and “Dead Faces”, Dose exploded on to the national scene in August with a track that serves as a tribute to the West Midlands: “we tryna’ get rich / straight up out the West Midz / better show respect when you’re getting off the M6”. Showing love for his local scene, Dose flexes his lyrical muscles in a blistering debut that’s accompanied by a typically gassed-up video centred around the narrative of a drug deal gone wrong. Authentic, bold, and refreshingly individual, Dose’s style fuses street energy with raw talent to produce music that’s nothing short of an epiphany.
