LEL Brothas

The LEL Brothas (formed in early 2006) are an American Hip-Hop group founded in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The vision of DJ Clone, this group also includes member LBC AKA Nytmare. Although the group officially has two members, DJ Clone and LBC, the LEL Brothas often perform with hype man CB5 who referred to himself in an interview with Arizona in the Morning Talk Show as the “LEL Step-brother.” All three of these rappers are originally from California, but met each other and started the LEL Brothas in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

In 2007 while recording their debut album “Fresh out the Root” the LEL Brothas were signed by super producer Wade Martin to JWM Records.

The LEL Brothas topped the internet charts and Southwest USA radio charts with the “Fresh out the Root” album. In 2010, the LEL Borthas released their second album “The Epidemic,” which catapulted them on their “Epidemic” world tour and gained them multiple events with top A- list celebrities around the world.

In mid 2011, the LEL Brothas made history by being the first American Hip hop group to ever perform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while in their Middle East tour. After this success the LEL Brothas were name cultural ambassadors of American music culture by the USA State Dept. and were inducted into Wikipedia. On December 21st 2011 the song entitled “Hatas” off “The Epidemic” album was released for the hit video game Rock Band 3.

In 2012 the LEL Brothas had many more appearances around the world including national tours within the USA and were again asked to return to the Middle East for a follow up tour in 2013.

Currently the LEL Brothas are feverishly working on their new album titled “Pandemic” slated for release in 2013. The LEL Brothas are also currently preparing for tour dates back in the Middle East and Asia.

WHAT DOES LEL MEAN!?!?!?

The meaning of the acronym “LEL” is the key focus of the press and fans alike, sparked by the fact that it has yet to be disclosed by the group (although at times playfully referenced). In the 2011 album “The Epidemic,” LBC references LEL by saying “Quit asking what LEL means, it drives me insane/if I told you the secret, it would blow out your brain.” Although the true meaning has not been released, DJ Clone often teases the media and fans by stating “Come to a show and find out!”
