With a new EP on the way soon (‘Beyond the Maze’), Astronauts of Antiquity are a genre bending act looking to turn new ears to their sound with new single ‘Paradise’. Featuring the vocal stylings of rapper Deploi, the track sets out AOA’s stall perfectly, blending pop and rap to great effect over some nice trippy beats.
The song is also something of a wake up call, drawing attention to the problems presented by the global obesity epidemic. It might, in the wrong hands, have been something of a worth protest song battering you over the head. However, it’s so well conceived and produced that it’s a great track first and a message second – a very effective way to make the underlying motives even more impactful.
