Suburbanstar are a band from South London that play original songs full of emotion and lyrical journeys. The band have developed a unique soft pop rock sound that has won accolades from gig goers and festival goers alike.

Comparisons to major artists have been drawn but never identified they are one of those bands who have their own sound, that crosses over to audiences of all ages, from University Gigs to Festivals and small clubs to big stages.

In June the band recording the new EP Fire & The Flame which will be avaliable to download from all good online retailers.

History

Suburbanstar was born from the ashes of Postcard Pop band Jane Smith. The driving force behind the band are songwriters Nick Barclay and Kevan Willison, recently the line up has undergone a major change with a new ryhthm section Ashley Mills (Drums) and Rob Simpson (Bass) taking over from Paul and Kevin. And completing the line up Ian Guest on Keyboards and Matt Turner on Trumpet and addititonal keys brings the whole thing together

Suburbanstar are moving on to a whole new level, with stunning rythms fused with beautiful lyrics and memorable melodies, inspiration is drawn from many genres and the sound has been described as a positive force…make sure you get to see them under the stars this summer.
