Mississippi-born singer, Housten, hasn’t long been releasing material yet has already signed with Walter Millsap III. Having worked with Icons such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Mary J Blige, The Fugees and R&B group Mindless Behavior, this is no mean feat.
Laying down his own rendition of Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, Housten brings an incredible warmth and energy to the table. Leaving you with feelings of reflection and pensiveness and quiet elation, his experimentation with different tones and moods both sonically and subjectively is what sets him apart.
Having previously covered the likes of Prince and Etta James, Housten certainly isn’t afraid of a challenge and with vocals like his, nor should he be. Housten is honest, direct and immensely powerful and we can’t wait to see him progress.
