Nemo James – The Minstrel

This past August, Nemo James released his 17-track record, The Minstrel. Before releasing his debut album, James worked as a freelance guitarist for bands on tour and those in need during their recording sessions. Now on his own, The Minstrel displays the best of his hard work and talent.

He is similar to Joshua Radin ,  Nick Drake, James Taylor, and Leonard Cohen. This country-folk artist brings wonderful acoustic sounds to life in ways people often forget; acoustic releases often come after the ‘official’ album. Nemo reminds us that acoustic songs can stand on their own feet and aren’t ‘secondary’ to any other type of music.
James took a 12 year hiatus before he began writing The Minstrel, but don’t let that discourage you from listening to him. During those 12 years his life took strange turns and many career changes, from karate teacher to a Microsoft systems engineer and even a restaurant owner, and he brings all of his experiences with him in The Minstrel. Nemo James is ready to do what he has always aspired to, and it is great.
