Faris explains shoe suspicion and shocks a Vaccine

Faris Badwan has owned up to his innate suspicion of people who don “experimental footwear”.

Speaking to GQ, the Horrors frontman said: “I’m very suspicious of anyone who is experimental with footwear. I prefer to stick to smart, classic and British styles.”

Continuing, he also explained why he rigorously sticks to black garments: “I stick to wearing black because brown makes me look very ill, and I already have a tendency to look ill anyway.”

Badwan also revealed upsetting friend Freddie Cowan of The Vaccines with a painful practical joke: “In my bag I carry an electric-shock pen… Recently I asked my friend Freddie Cowan for his autograph. When he reached into my bag, he got a sharp jolt. He was so angry, he threw the pen out of the window.”

The singer is currently working on a new Horrors album, due for release this year.
