During this weekend’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony Migos and Lil Uzi Vert received a shout out from Donald Glover which significantly boosted the pairs ‘Bad And Boujee’ play streams.

Whilst accepting an award for the best television series the Atlanta star, Donald Glover, gave huge praise to Migos and Uzi’s track ‘Bad and Boujee’. Glover, otherwise known by his stage name Childish Gambino, said, “I really wanna thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making ‘Bad And Boujee’. That’s the best song ever.”

Glover went on to describe the hip-hop trio Migos as “The Beatles of this generation” claiming that he didn’t think “they get a lot of respect beyond Atlanta,” Glover continued stating that “There’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people. That song [‘Bad And Boujee’] is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

‘Bad And Boujee’ saw a 243% increase in the US between 7 am and 9 am after the Golden Globe’s ceremony and the song also gained a boost on YouTube following the shout out. The Metro Boomin produced track has now taken the number one spot in the US surpassing Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Black Beatles’. ‘Bad And Boujee’ is the first single from Migos’ forthcoming album C U L T U R E which is due to drop on January 27th.
