Dillon Ryan – That Monster – Chapter III

Dillon Ryan

Dillon Ryan is more than just 5 feet 6 of twisted steel and sex appeal… she is more than just the newest tenant to join the cast on, “The Complex Show” the Reality show that is taking the world by storm, and she is more than just the master of the world’s cutest and most bad ass Havanese puppy of all time named “Brotha”…. She is a creator. She is a writer. She is a dreamer. She is a thinker. Maybe possibly, in her eyes, one of the deepest thinkers of all times. Sometimes, she thinks so deep that she herself can’t understand what exactly she is thinking, and eventually as she tries to figure it out, she forgets what she was thinking about to begin with. Luckily, here, we are lucky enough to get to glimpse into the mind of what some might say, is a mind like no other. That is for sure.

Dillon Ryan began writing songs and stories when she was five. When she first began singing, she was quickly discouraged as her high notes shattered her grandmother’s precious crystal teacups, which had been carried for generations dating back to days before this. Although discouraged, Dillon still was determined to let her tiny voice be heard. She participated in any writing, singing, drama, dancing activity she could. She filled her notebooks with journals, and stories, and songs. As she grew she would practice singing when no one was around, although yes, the frequency is her voice was so high that it attracted a large abundance of feline friends which would circle around her or lay longing outside her window…mistaking her voice for The Great Jungle Cat’s mating call… it was ok. It made Dillon feel as if she was like Snow White, and was dancing and singing amongst the mice and birds. The cats became her audience, and their hair became her glitter. And through this she wrote some of her best work.

In college, Dillon’s English professor encouraged her to write. He encouraged her to enter as many contests that she could as well. She won several. There were various thumb wrestling championships, a couple drunken Texas Hold Em Tournaments and one wet tee shirt contest that the bowling team of 2005, “Go Pinheads”, is still talking about… But then there were also many writing awards she won as well including the 2004 Tennessee Williams Young Writers Award. She was not only awarded to have a collection of her stories and drawings published, “The Story of the Chicken Pox”, but through this she landed a writing contract with Hachette Group and began her career in freelance and article writing. She has written for such magazines as Moxie Girl and Into The Gloss, and more.

She participated in several bands and duos over the years, and eventually began singing for human beings again. Yes, sometimes people stop quick, wondering where the helium tank that she must be hitting off of is hidden…but for the most part she has become accepted in her species.

Recently Dillon has been signed with a publishing contract with Black Bullet Productions, and is currently working to promote her new CD, “That Monster”. This site will follow that journey, her blog, and of course “The Complex Show” in which we get to see Dillon in her home life. Thinking… deeply. Dillon’s dream is to finally one day hear a voice that doesn’t break the sound barrier sing her songs. She wants to one day write her stories and songs for artists that can share them with the world.

Please support her songs. We have found that if we do not tell people that…then they do not support her…and then they soon end up as the subject of one of them. So you have been officially warned…
