At just seventeen years old, Yazzy Chamberlain’s list of accolades is enviable. A master on the guitar, piano and violin, her musical abilities twinned with her dynamic, soulful vocals have seen her garnering kudos across the country since the tender age of fourteen.
Yazzy’s a double “Teenstar” grand finalist, in December 2012, she won her category in the UK and International Songwriting Competition, in 2015 she was named the best singer/songwriter under 18 at the Future Music Songwriting Contest, won at the Open Mic UK event at the NEC in Birmingham and has since released an EP and her first album.
The record, “Silly Boys Breaking Hearts”, saw the North-Cornwall chanteuse soaring to number one in the folk charts with her heartfelt vocals and poignant lyricism leading the way. Energetic and compelling with a musical maturity that spans far beyond her years, Yazzy’s dedication and tenacity have her geared for flight and see her set for very exciting things indeed.
