Context and Jimmy Flipshyt are pleased to announce the release of their debut collaboration EP called ‘The Shadows’ (released 30th April 2013). The EP weighs in at 7 tracks in total including the song ‘Big Dog’ that peaked at number 12 on the Australian Triple J Unearthed Hip Hop charts. The release follows a classic hip hop style reminiscent of the boom bap era with vintage production techniques and on point flow.

Context is a Canberra based rapper whose previous releases include ‘The Dusty Track Mixtape’ and ‘The Monkey Bars EP’, his high energy live shows and his strong song writing skills make him a stand out in the growing Canberra hip hop scene. He has supported major artists such as; Rahzel, Dialectrix and Evil Eddie on the back of his 2012 release and has many more shows booked for 2013.
Jimmy Flipshyt is a Cairns based producer whose previous releases include ‘The Jimmy Flipshyt Beat Tape’ along with a series of remixes released through Soundcloud. Jimmy displays a strong dedication to traditional hip hop methods and produces beats that are reminiscent of 90’s style classics.
With the EP now in full effect, the pair are seeking as much promotion as possible and hope to gain exposure through hip hop blogs and other mediums.
