Brooklyn rapper, producer and actor Ferris Wheel Jay presents “G5″, the new single produced by Trakformaz, the production team he makes one third of alongside Kev Keyz and BURN’EMUP, who recently produced “Off The Rip” featuring French Montana and the late Chinx Drugs.
Jay currently stars on the Oxygen reality show “Player Gets Played” (read the NY Post article “Woman Busts Cheating Beau With Help From His Other Girlfriends”), and recently released a video for single “Soho” (watch), which will appear alongside “G5″ on his forthcoming EP House Of Hearts.At the age of eleven Jay was writing songs and hooks; by thirteen he was making beats and producing full songs.
He has television credits on MTV, FOX 5 News; Ridiculousness and Silent Library and has performed at Nuyorican Poets Cafe, SOB’s, Santos Party House, the Flat, and is also a winner of America’s Next Top Music producer showcase.
House Of Hearts will be released through a team effort between Trakformaz, Bravo Media, and Joe “JP” Matias, who collaborated on records by Mos Def and Jermaine Dupri. “‘G5′ is about a women who’s fly (hence the G5 title) but doesn’t need to try hard,” says Jay. “She has the looks, the walk, the attitude, everything a man can dream for in a woman without a lot of effort. She’s ready to take off; hopefully I can hold on.”
