Christine and The Queens named Biggest Selling Debut of 2016

Christine and The Queens’ debut album ‘Chaleur Humaine’ has been crowned as the biggest selling debut of 2016.

Héloïse Letissier, the woman behind the moniker, saw her debut chart outside the Top 100 before steadily climbing up the charts to peak at No.2. The album spent ten weeks in the top ten of the UK’s album charts and is now Certified Gold.

Christine and The Queens outsold Bradley Walsh and Blossoms who were both initially reported to have claimed the title.

The French musician’s first offering was initially released in her native language and later re-recorded in English and released with new material.
