Bacon Is My Podcast celebrates one year anniversary

November 4th marks the one-year anniversary of Bacon is My Podcast. Hosted by lead singer Mike Wahmann of the band Something Heavy and lead singer Jimmy G of the band Craving Strange. Bacon is My Podcast interviews guests to discuss the thing that makes their life better, their “bacon.” Since starting Bacon is My Podcast, they’ve interviewed a number of notable guests such as Silverstein, Conquer Divide, Rivals and even Mike Skaggs from Outline in Color. Despite their musical backgrounds this podcast covers more than just musicians. Hosts Mike and Jimmy G also share a love for wrestling, comics, movies, and pop culture. These shared interests have allowed them to expand their guest repertoire. Most notably, they have featured WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, Legend Marc Mero, Sean Kanan of the Karate Kid franchise, and Cosplayer Zia Stark  to name a few. Bacon is My Podcast will be honoring their previous guests on January 3, 2022 with the announcement of their 1st annual BIMPY Awards Show:

“A year ago when Jimmy and I said ‘Let’s record our conversations and release them as a podcast,’ I couldn’t have imagined that it would have grown into what it is today.  As a musician, I’m used to doing lots of grunt work for a long time with little to no benefit.  Even getting Jim and I into the same project together took over a decade.  But in just a year of Bacon is My Podcast we’ve accomplished so much, we’ve met some really great people, we’ve created something out of our friendship…we’re having the time of our lives and it’s been incredibly rewarding.  I’m so excited for the future of this thing and hope we can continue to entertain people, make them laugh, inspire them and help them find their “bacon” for years to come.” – Mike Wahmann

Mike is a native from Long Island, NY. He has worked on internet radio and podcasts in the past. The show is recorded in Mike’s garage that he built into a studio. He loves comics and professional wrestling.

“100% I couldn’t agree more or say it any better than Mike just did. This experience and journey has been so much fun and so rewarding. It’s been such an amazing and inspiring trip creating and growing the show from the two of us having a conversation to finding the common passion and drive in really cool and interesting people. In one year we’ve grown the show, grown our friendship, and built something I’m incredibly proud of and truly feel is unique and different for both the guests and our listeners. There’s so much equity in the negative these days and I’m so glad we found a way to create something fun and positive that hopefully will encourage people to “find their bacon” and appreciate that we all truly have so much in common. We’re having a total blast and I think that comes through. I’m so excited for the future and so appreciative for the chance to entertain while being entertained, get to know while letting people know me, and hopefully inspire while being inspired. I can’t wait to see what year two brings!”

Lead Singer/Songwriter for the band Craving Strange as well as guitarist/singer/songwriter for various musical projects, music teacher and bartender/indie therapist. Occasional actor in independent films, fan of comics, pro wrestling, cooking, and anything weird or funny.

Bacon is My Podcast is a weekly show that asks “What’s Your Bacon?” That extra passion in your life that makes everything in it better. Hosts Mike and Jimmy G (long-time friends and singer/songwriters) created the show after their random and often hilarious conversations over a few whiskeys were becoming an “I wish I could be a fly on the wall” topic of conversation among friends and fans. Deciding to let cameras roll on their weekly “pre songwriting hangouts” and inviting interesting guests from all forms of entertainment to talk about “their bacon” has become the recipe for a fun, entertaining and unique weekly podcast.

Bacon is My Podcast is available on all major podcast streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, InTune, iHeartRadio and more) with a video version on StrangerhoodTV.com with new episodes released every Monday.
