Maggie Tra brings Pho The Girls DJ workshops to UK

DJ/producer Maggie Tra brings her infamous Pho The Girls DJ introduction workshops to London and Liverpool this November.

The workshops are designed to create a safe space for women and non-binary people to learn how to DJ with other like-minded individuals. Hailing from Sydney, Australia Maggie first established SYS Sister Sounds, an organisation to push more women and non-binary people to the front two years ago in Hanoi, Vietnam. Pho The Girls DJ workshops/collective is part of the organisation. Since then Maggie’s taught over 100 students with some of them going on to pursue a DJ career.

The London workshop will be held in collaboration with Voices Radio and the Liverpool workshop in collaboration with Melodic Distraction online radio station. The collaboration with the venues and Pho The Girls is aimed to push more women and non-binary people to the front.

“I am super excited to bring Pho The Girls workshops to the UK, I really want to see more women and particularly Asian women and non-binary people in the music scene and of course guide them through the industry in a safe space with mindful collaborations,” said Maggie.
