Artist Spotlight: Pavel Areen Bridges Worlds Through Sound

From the bustling streets of Dhaka to the iconic stages of New York, Pavel Areen is steadily emerging as one of London’s most intriguing new musical voices. A Bangladeshi composer, drummer, and sound engineer, Areen brings a rare blend of technical mastery and emotional depth to every project he touches.

Now based in the UK, the artist’s latest release is a hauntingly beautiful collaboration with producer Sidonix titled “Feeling Low”—a taste of what’s to come in his highly anticipated full-length album. The release is an audio-visual experience that explores the spiritual side of modern soundscapes, driven by Pavel’s unique East-meets-West approach.

Having co-founded Chirkutt, one of Bangladesh’s most influential fusion-rock bands, and launched Butter Communication, a trailblazing music studio in South Asia, Areen has long been a force in pushing the boundaries of music in his region. His résumé spans engineering critically acclaimed films like No Bed of Roses and Saturday Afternoon, performing with the Scorpions at Madison Square Garden, and shaping live sound for global platforms like Wind of Change.

But beyond the accolades and international credits lies an artist deeply rooted in the power of collaboration and cultural storytelling. With the Living Room Session, Pavel reimagined Bengali music for new generations, working with some of South Asia’s most iconic voices in raw, intimate settings.

Now, with his sights set on the UK and global markets, Pavel Areen is not just exporting his sound—he’s inviting the world into it.
