Georgia trio Shoegazers have released their new, self-titled EP.

The 3-track, self-titled offering from the Atlanta crew marries punk, indie and emo influence, with a moving and melodic delivery that nods to the likes of Somos and Rozwell Kid.

Having formed in 2017, the 2021 incarnation of Shoegazers is now a far cry from the Atlanta based acoustic project it started out as. After a number of line-up changes and the shock of the pandemic, the band finally feel ready for the next chapter.

Playing songs about love, heartbreak, and mental health issues, the Georgia trio deliver a contemplative and thought-provoking sound, an honest and relatable sonic identity.

The new EP hones influence from across the alternative spectrum; splashes of the 2010 emo revival acts, as well as modern punk and alternative rock notes flowering on the band’s new collection.

Shoegazers’ new EP is out now, on 59 X Records.
