Hemes is a British Arabic singer / songwriter from Wales.
She has just released ‘Breath’, which is the first single from her debut EP ‘Matters of the Mind’.
The EP was funded by the BBC Horizons Wales Launchpad and Help Musicians Do It Differently schemes and is set for release later in the year.
Hemes treats us to a beautiful vocal performance that gives life to catchy lyrics.
The melody of the track is vibrant but a little gritty in places.
‘Breath’ was inspired by Hemes mother and thematically deals with the mind of an overthinker, as they seek calm and reassurance.
Hemes will be performing at Focus Wales on Saturday 9th October in Wrexham ahead of her debut EP release.
