Terry Golden has been making waves all year throughout 2021 in the dance music industry, as he celebrates another memorable year in the scene. With almost 30 years of knowledge under his belt DJing and Producing in the electronic music scene, Terry has picked up some seriously impressive career accolades along the way. Some of Terry’s best career accolades include having his release ‘Dortmund’ being selected for worldwide Airplay in some of the biggest global brand-stores, like David Lloyd, Everlast Fitness, The Gym group, and Bannatyne Fitness, just to name a few. His success does not stop there, considering his 6-track album ‘Future’ ranked #2 on the Mainstage Beatport Top 100, just after David Guetta, and in front of Morten & David Guetta.
Happy memory from this year
I saw @mortenofficial live in Copenhagen, and this was the first time in a nightclub since lockdown since marts 2000 – Felt so good, I almost can’t describe it
The most challenging thing you’ve done this year
Keeping the motivation up and pushing my profile and music, so hard without the live gigs
This time last year you were…
I actually don’t remember, but properly organising a private party, since no public parties was allowed, and Christmas it’s time for celebration
Your new year’s resolution this year
I have never believed in making a new year’s resolution, but if I should make one anyway, it would be to get into the gym at least 4 times a week
How long is it going to last?
HaHa, that’s exactly why I never do them, so ask me in a few months’ time
Your musical goal for 2022
I have a few goals for 2022. Firstly, finish my first artist album, which has already been signed and will be release also on vinyl. Secondly to find myself a good manager and booking agency to get to the US and be more established, and last but now least to play 5 of the big important festivals as a minimum.
A new skill or hobby you’d like to get into
I want to get better on the piano
Your favourite Christmas/Holiday song
No one really, I kind of get very tried very quickly of the Christmas songs. But if I should mention ne, will have to be a classic, Band Aid with Do They Know It`s Christmas
Your dream Christmas/Holiday present
Easy – Mainstage booking for the biggest festival in the world and a Las Vegas Residency J
Favourite festive food
I really like a good steak, but more important than the food, is the Champagne, as I am a massive Champagne fan
Your NYE plans this year
Yes, I had plans for a club event, but clubs just been locked down for 5 weeks – So I open for anything right now. First time in years I don’t have anything locked – frustrating as hell
Public figure of the year
I will stay inside music, as I deeply admire David Guetta for his massive influence together with Morten in their Future Rave movement, a big inspiration for me and many others
Movie/TV show of the year
I love 007, so it will have to be NO Time to Die
Track of the year that you were part of
My track Dreams really made some noise, with almost 1 month in the Top 10 Beatport chart, peek at #2 just after David Guetta
Artist or label to watch out for in 2022
Hard one, so beside myself J I believe that Morten being the one half of the Future Rave team, will be even bigger in 2022, and he is a fellow Dane, and always super friendly to me
Dream collaboration
To make something with Morten and David Guetta, but also Armin Van Buuren would be a big dream
Something you learned this year
I learned how important it is to take a complete time off from music, social media, and so on, otherwise, you are constantly reaching out to 24/7 – Which is fine, but you need breaks to maintain focussed what’s important, and not get disturbed about alle the “noise” around you
A prediction about the world in 2022
We will party again as nothing had happened, but covid will still be present, we just learn to deal. With it without it have to influence our life
