Lua Live Surprises with Debut Release of “Hold Back the River”

The southern Brazilian electronic music duo, Lua Live, has released their debut original single, “Hold Back the River,” aiming to captivate new fans.

Comprising brothers Ariel and Vinicius, Lua Live unveiled their single on 10 May, which has already been picked up by Atlantida FM, one of Brazil’s largest radio stations. The track is available for streaming on major digital platforms.

Independently produced, “Hold Back the River” promises to infuse fresh energy into the southern Brazilian music scene. The track artfully combines electronic and acoustic elements, creating a unique and immersive atmosphere. The song delves into themes of love and longing, offering listeners an introspective and emotional experience. Even amidst intense emotions, gentle melodies and engaging beats underscore a message of hope and tranquillity.

“The creative process for ‘Hold Back the River’ was marked by experimentation and artistic freedom,” Lua Live stated. “We began with writing the verses, which evolved into a powerful chorus inspired by an indie style. Using Ableton Live software and a Shure SM7B microphone, we explored various tones and arrangements until we reached the track’s final version. Influences from artists such as Avicii, Milky Chance, and Robin Schulz enriched the production, resulting in a fresh and authentic sound.”

“We want people to feel deeply connected with the feelings of love and longing, which are universal and touch everyone in some way,” the duo commented. “The lyrics evoke these feelings sincerely and directly, while the instrumental part has been carefully crafted to convey positive energy.”

To Lua Live, this release marks a significant milestone in their career. With over 10 years of partnership, Ariel and Vinicius bring a strong family bond and rich musical experience. Both multi-instrumentalists, they compose and record their vocals. This authenticity and dedication shine through in “Hold Back the River,” which is only the beginning of a series of releases planned for 2024.
