Twayn have had a terrific year since leaving school just last summer.
Up and coming, the 19-year-old singer-songwriting twins from the Northeast, Hannah and Grace, have already supported the likes of Maius Mollis, Ruth Lyon, Oliver Pinder, Casey McQuillen and Tors.
The girls released ten songs in 2023 whilst studying for their A levels.
The ‘M E S S’ EP is their fifth release of 2024 and opens with the synth laden ‘Out The Door!’, that is a little more funky then what Hannah and Grace usually deliver.
‘Mess (And A Half)’ has more of a nostalgic feel to it, albeit bittersweet in places but the vocal harmonies are on point as always.
‘The Enemy I’ve Wanted’ sees Twayn craft a truly energetic pop track.
The penultimate track, which is ‘Mr Perfect’ demonstrates the talent the girls have as first class lyricists.
The EP concludes with another funky track, this time in the form of the anthemic ‘The Way It Is.’
Twayn’s prolific songwriting and ability to produce clever and catchy tracks has earned them consistent radio play with BBC Introducing Northeast, Amazing Radio UK and USA, and they are firm favourites with local station SparkFM.
The girls’ undeniably strong work ethic, professionalism and unwavering determination to break through is creating a strong following locally and beyond.
Twayn continues to go from strength to strength.
They played a sold-out gig at the iconic The Bedford in Balham in January and the duo hve played a host of festivals this summer including the BBC Introducing stage at Stockton Calling, Songs From Northern Britain, A Stone’s Throw and Coast Fest with their band changing things up with their festival set.
Their video for Mess (And A Half) was also played on Channel 4’s iconic Sunday Brunch playlist in June.
In 2022, the girls came 2nd place in the Liverpool International Songwriting competition (out of over 22,000 entries) and played the iconic Exit/In in Nashville.
