Rising R&B talent Rosita releases new single ‘What I Deserve’ on NQR Records.

The Manchester based R&B artist is inspired by the talents of female vocalists such as Kehlani, Lauryn Hill, Ariana Grande and more recently Jorja Smith, each of their influences are audible in Rosita’s soulful, velvety style, as she blends the familiar with the unique, putting her own stamp on old-school R&B sounds.

Rosita’s career to date has seen her perform at numerous festivals such as Witcombe Festival, Gloucester Rooftop Festival and Wychwood Festival and has previously supported Lucy Spraggan.

She has released 2 studio EPs ‘Hourglass’ and ‘No Pressure’ and 2 singles ‘Masterpiece’ and ‘3AM’ and now she is back with her latest single ‘What I Deserve’.

‘What I Deserve’ begins with a stunning orchestal arrangement before switching over to more contemporary instruments and the smooth and soulful vocals of Rosita.

The track lyrically expresses the story of craving reciprocity and self worth, Rosita composes an admirable narrative that is both empowering and beautifully personal.

Rosita explains “This song is about wanting appreciation, love, reciprocity from someone who you feel doesn’t appreciate you. You know, I still rate myself despite my flaws, I know I’m 1 of 1. Ultimately I know my worth and so what I’m asking for, what I deserve is just the minimum.”
