Ukrainian Kids rock band Contra Bass reached the final of Ukraine’s Got Talent

The story of kids rock band Contra Bass begins in Vinnytsia, Ukraine in 2017, this is when the parents of 7-year old siblings Hlib (guitar) and Polina (drums) Kosenko took them to the music classes.

A few months later the bass guitar player Andriy Desiatniuk joined.

The band bears the nickname of their first teacher who has since passed away.

Their next tutor Valeriy Sorochenko suggested they learn classic rock songs, this is when they were joined by singer Andriy Labenko

Contra Bass reached the final of Ukraine’s Got Talent after their performance of ‘Crazy Train’, originally by Ozzy Osborne.

The band then decided to a cover of David Coverdale’s song ‘Burn’.

Their take on the Deep Purple classic is truly electrifying.

Hlib Kosenko, Dmitro Kachu and Andriy Desyatnyuk deliver energetic guitar riffs, whilst Andriy Labenko impresses with incredible powerhouse vocals.

This stunning performance effortlessly highlights the future potential of the incredibly talented Contra Bass.

The vintage Yamaha organ was acquired especially for this performance, this is also when they added Dmytro Kachur to their line up as a second guitarist

Contra Bass intend to use their experience of performing covers as the basis for creating their own songs in the future.
