Verity Jo Spencer Hall is one to watch in musical theatre

Verity Jo Spencer Hall is a young and thriving talent who specialises predominantly in musical theater and song. It is surprising how much she has accomplished at such a young age, not to mention the incredible maturity of her vocal ability.

After moving to Spain from Devon at just 4-years-old Verity Jo Spencer Hall began her musical journey. At the age of 15, Verity joined the Footwork Dance Academy where she met Ella who introduced her to the musical Wicked and Verity fell in love with the show instantly. With a passion for dance and song, it was then that Verity Jo Spencer Hall found her calling – she wanted to be a West-End performer.

After watching the Wicked production Verity found herself longing to play Glinda. The more she practiced the better she became, and it wasn’t long before her mother sat her down and told her she had something special.

Buying tickets to see a local choir Verity and her mother met Nigel Hopkins; an extremely dedicated vocal coach who saw a bright future in her. Verity began coaching and it wasn’t long before she was auditioning to play the part of Laurey from the musical Oklahoma! Fast forward to the present and Verity Jo Spencer Hall has an impressive number of credits to her name. Seizing the lead roles for a number of iconic musical theater performances such as Oklahoma!, Dick Whittington and Fiddler on the Roof, Verity’s dreams were steadily becoming a reality.

Boasting an impressive career in film and theater and her own solo performances to audiences of hundreds, the 19-year-old operatic talent has aspirations to perform as Christine Daae in The Phantom Of The Opera. None of this is too far out of Verity’s reach, judging from her captivating and diverse vocal ability. It won’t be long before Verity Jo Spencer Hall is a name that graces the programs of London’s West End shows and lots more around the world.
