Watch emerging talent Kibbo

London-born Kibbo has released a cover of Mark Morrison’s 1996 ‘Return of the Mack’ in anticipation for his upcoming EP, Shorts From A Bigger Picture. The cover has the talented guitarist and vocalist play live over bass and drums. The 25-year-old has already released single ‘Bom Dia’ which is now available on iTunes and Spotify. The second song from his EP will be ‘Cry As You Go‘ and will be released once ‘Bom Dia‘ reaches 10,000 plays on Spotify.

One of his reasons for choosing the cover was that Morrison is from Leicester where he used to live. As a teenager, Kibbo moved to the outskirts of Leicester where he spent time working as a chef. After about a year he changed careers and is now back in London as a secondary school teacher. After relocating back to London, he started writing songs about the move. The songs came together for his debut EP which will be released in the coming months, followed by a full album in the summer.

Kibbo is also offering a chance to name his third single. The successful title will also win an Amazon Fire tablet! You can enter the competition here.
