Minnesota rapper Driip drops debut single ‘Broken’

Hailing from Saint Paul, Minnesota, rapper Driip is here to show that versatility in hip-hop is alive and well.

Driip’s Debut single ‘Broken’ presents him at his most vulnerable – oscillating between angst and anger as he portrays the role of a lover scorned. LostInLeon and Rhoemminneya are also on deck with guest verses that give an extra layer of depth to the track.

For a debut single, the production quality is top-notch, and it’s clear Driip takes his image as an artist seriously. Since its release on 21st June, ‘Broken’ has already garnered over 75,000 streams on Spotify.

On his position in the industry as an artist, Driip says: “I make whatever I feel in the mood to make. The music I make tells you what is, or was going on in my life at a particular time. If I feel a particular vibe I got with it.”

With that mindset, we can expect to see plenty more in the way of originality and personality in Driip’s music.

Driip’s next single, ‘Life’ is due to drop sometime in August, but for now, be sure to check out ‘Broken’ below.
