New York pop-rock newcomers Start The Week Over have released a new single. ‘Mr Independence’ showcases an intricate and nostalgic power pop aura; the quintet belying their youth with a highly accomplished sound.
With the release of the debut EP Wonderland in 2020, New York’s Start The Week Over stated their ambitions, with a pop-rock collection, blending big hooks and intricate guitar work.
Whilst the pandemic has kept the band apart physically, the East Coast quintet have made the best of the situation. Amidst lockdown, Start The Week Over have let their natural creative flair and writing talents flourish, writing songs on Discord.
Subsequently, the new flurry of singles show influence ranging from Dance Gavin Dance to The 1975; Modern Baseball to Carly Rae Jepsen.
