5 fresh tracks for New Music Friday

Another week, another New Music Friday. We’ve put together our list of the freshest tracks from this week’s release day – and what a drop it’s been, with new tunes from Park Hotel, itoldyouiwouldeatyou and William The Conquerer. Happy listening!

itoldyouiwouldeatyou ‘Craiglockhart’

Emo collective itoldyouiwouldeatyou dropped their debut LP, Oh Dearism, today.

Released via Alcopop! Records and Failure By Design, it’s accompanied by a couple of live shows this weekend – check out the dates here.

Park Hotel‘Nothing to Lose’

London-Barcelona group Park Hotel dropped their disco-centric single, ‘Nothing To Lose’, paired with an accompanying music video.

The track is paired with news of a debut EP of the same name, set to drop 30th January 2019.

Chloe Bodur‘Billie’

Chloe Bodur shared her highly anticipated single ‘Billie’, released via AWAL. It’s a sultry single, inspired by a love of film noir reflected in the track’s moody, heavy tones.

The single features saxophone from Mr. Juke’s Dan Berry, and was penned when Bodur was just 17, recorded in full from a friend’s bed in one night.

William The Conquerer ‘The Curse of Friends’

William The Conquerer have released the second teaser track from their forthcoming album, Bleeding on the Soundtrack.

‘The Curse of Friends’ is a brilliantly bold new direction for the band, described by frontman Ruarri Joseph to be about “a leopard trying to change its spots”.

Bleeding on the Soundtrack is set to be released on 15th February 2019 – they’re also currently working through a tour of the UK, check out the dates here.

Louise Distras ‘Street Revolution’ 

Alt-rocker Louise Distras has announced the forthcoming release of her EP, Street Revolution and dropped its title track with an accompanying video.

Speaking ‘Street Revolution’, Louise describes the track as “A rallying anthem for the new underground movement of working-class kids, rising together through music to fight for their future”.
