Introducing Beth McDaniel, a PhD student at Auburn University. Her husband and her are currently running a crowd funding campaign to purchase their friend’s property in order to convert it into a music and arts program for children in our local community of Loachapoka, AL.
Their friend recently passed away, and his holographic will is not honored in Alabama. His family would love to carry on his legacy by using his property to create space for community programs, but due to legal fees and mounting medical bills, they are forced to sell.
This program would greatly benefit the local community. Local schools are extremely segregated, most students are low income, and there are currently no recreational or park services in the community, and it is their hope to change this. Every child needs a place to relax, have fun, and interact with peers and community members in a safe and welcoming environment
