Boy Jr. shares latest earworm “I Hope You Feel Terrible”

Boy Jr. is the musical project of New York based Ariel Allen-Lubman (they/them). With a DIY album set for release later this year, the artist has released the first taste with the single “I Hope You Feel Terrible”.  Boy Jr. is known for their creativity, quirkiness, wit and knack for writing authentically relatable songs that are deeply infectious.
“I Hope You Feel Terrible” is a direct letter and a confrontation to that ex who did you wrong. The song is filled with relatable lines about wanting the ex to be sad, feel guilty and most importantly terrible like they feel after the breakup. Boy Jr. shares, “You know how people will tell you to write a letter you’ll never send when you’re upset with someone? “I Hope You Feel Terrible” is like the letter I wasn’t supposed to send. It is for everyone who wishes they could have a romcom-like confrontation with someone who hurt them and tell them exactly how they really feel, with the perfect closing one liner and everything.”  The pop punk masterpiece oozes with emotion and it is a clever and playful song all about the aftermath of heartbreak. Edgy guitars, crunchy bass and an unforgettable chorus are hallmarks of the track.

Boy Jr. is a musician and creator who explores their expression in artistry, gender (nonbinary), and influencership. Their upcoming album I Love Getting Dumped promises to be an emotional rollercoaster all about the stages of breakups. Take a listen to “I Hope You Feel Terrible” now and enjoy the music.
