Daughter cover Frightened Rabbit’s ‘Poke’

Daughter have unveiled their rendition of Frightened Rabbit’s ‘Poke’. The cover will feature on Frightened Rabbit’s forthcoming release Tiny Changes – A Celebration of the Midnight Organ Fight.

Last month, Daughter took to Twitter to share what it meant to record their version of ‘Poke’, writing:  “It was an honour to be given the opportunity to cover such a personal, devastating song. Although we felt we could never really do it justice, we enjoyed every moment of the challenge.”

Tiny Changes celebrates the ten year anniversary since the release of the group’s critically acclaimed album The Midnight Organ Fight by calling on a number of bands and artists to provide their own renditions of tracks found on the 2009 release. The album will also serve to honour the memory of frontman, Scott Hutchinson who took his own life last year.

Following ‘My Backwards Walk’ (performed by Manchester Orchestra, Harkin, Sarah Silverman) and ‘The Modern Leper’ (performed by Biffy Clyro and Julien Baker), Daughter’s version of ‘Poke’ marks the third song covered thus far.

The album will also feature covers from the likes of Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), The Twilight Sad, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie), Aaron Dessner (The Nationals), Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry and more.

Tiny Changes – A Celebration of the Midnight Organ Fight is out 12th July.
