UK powerhouse Duckworthsound just enlisted fellow Hong Kong-based producer Yaman to release “Tonight”, a bass-house monster with a unique story behind it. Yaman travelled to London a year ago, and was enjoying some time in a cafe vibing to music. As the story goes, his headphones accidentally fell out and Duckworthsound, who was sitting on the same table, heard bass house music playing. The two producers immediately connected over their love for bass music and production, and arranged a studio session that night, where “Tonight” was created.
The single, driven by massive basslines and infectious, rhythmic vocal samples, is a heater from start to finish. Classic house drums establish the groove before the build up creates massive anticipation for the drop, which comes in heavy, dominated by metallic sound design and industrial effects that play off the beat’s fiery energy.
Engagingly original and a burst of energy, the track combines unique instrumentation with powerful performances from both artists, complemented by a dark blend of characterful production.
