After taking a year out from social media, Ed Sheeran is back. Having spent the last 12 months working on his third album the singer is reportedly reopening his social accounts to tease new music and promote his forthcoming release.
The ‘X’ singer stated that he wanted to “travel the world and see everything I missed” after exiting the social sphere last December. Sheeran was tired of “seeing the world through a screen” and not his eyes announcing he wanted to take a break from his phone. The artist publicised his excitement for the new album stating “The third album is on its way and is the best thing I have made thus far.” He concluded, “See you all next autumn, and thank you for being amazing”.
Sheeran’s return to social media came with a mysterious blank blue image which he uploaded to his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts sparking many fans to speculate that new music and album details are due to be released soon.
