Heiress To Atlas is a new alternative electronic rock/pop duo. Formed in Los Angeles in May 2014, the duo fuses the soulful vocals of Vidya Sethu with the dynamic instrumental stylings of Marc Thomas.
The eclectic duo met through unlikely circumstances. Born in London but having grown up mostly in Singapore, Vidya wound up in LA in 2014 for what she thought was a temporary stay. She began collaborating with other musicians, and met Marc through a Craigslist Musicians ad a mere month before she was due to leave America. The pair quickly cemented a musical and personal connection and Vidya returned to LA so they could make their dreams for Heiress To Atlas a reality.
Drawing from a wide range of musical influences, Marc creates a soundscape that encompasses the popular music genres of our generations. Coupled with Vidya’s soulful voice and passionate, gritty lyrics, this duo achieves a sound that reflects popular progressions and melodies but defines a new path; merging electronic rock/pop/alt into a seamless, striking musical style.
